Rihanna Wins at AMA's 2011

Last night (November 20, 2011) was a star-studded event at the 2011 American Music Awards. Many top-charting musicians gathered together inside Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre for a memorable and thoroughly entertaining show. Rihanna wasn’t present at the show due to her tour in Europe however she did won an award for Favorite Soul/R&B Album!! Congratulations! After winning Favorite Soul/R&B Album for ‘Loud,’ Rihanna proceeded to thank her fans in a prerecorded video from overseas. 

“ This means a lot to me. I love you guys. Thanks to all my fans, ”she said with smiles.

Rihanna on The Ellen Show

Thanks to JustJared, we can get a sneak peak at Rihanna on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Monday (November 21).

Ellen gifted the 23-year-old "Talk That Talk" singer with a sleep kit to get some rest over the holidays! RiRi also chatted about liking confident men:

“ I like men that are more aggressive but mysterious but I like a man to be very sure. I like them to be sure of themselves and know that you’re the man. I’m the lady and the only way for us to make this work is for us to play our roles. You know, I can’t really be the man for you. I don’t want to have to be. I’m the man at work all the time .”

Performance: The X Factor USA Tonight!

Our Rihanna is in LA to record her performances for The X Factor and The Ellen Degeneres show . Check out what EW.com has to say about her on The X Factor:

'' Rihanna performed “We Found Love” twice after the show. The key difference between the two performances was her post-song interview with host Steve Jones. After the first performance, Jones asked Rihanna, who’s worked with L.A. Reid in the past, if the judge is really “that cruel” in person. Rihanna replied, “He’s doesn’t hide anything.” Jones chuckled, “So he really is that cruel!” After the bit was over, Simon signaled over to Jones and a stagehand. The trio huddled for a moment and, before you knew it, Bill had informed us that we were going to film the whole shebang a second time.
After the second performance, Jones instead asked Rihanna to give some advice to the show’s singers. “You have to love what you do,” she responded. I’m not sure which interview you’ll be seeing Thursday night, but my money’s on the latter, less L.A.-hating version "
